Frequently asked questions…

…ABOUT SELF-LOVE COACHING

What role do you play in Self-Love Coaching?

My SELF-LOVE coaching is designed for you to heal. Healing does not mean to fix but it does mean to do better, be better, and feel a WHOLE lot better about who you are and how you show up in areas of your life. I am your coach, editor to your story, motivator, cheerleader, mentor, and teacher.

How do you approach coaching?

My approach to coaching primarily involves the use of a framework to self-love I personally developed and narrative coaching. The tools I use to complement these approaches vary and are selected and customized according to your story and direction of healing. I have a psychology and counseling background so my approach collides with coaching psychology. To help you heal you may be encouraged with inner work to address old wounds, subconscious reprogramming, reparenting, mindfulness, and other tools that are helpful to reconnecting to self, letting go of unlimited beliefs and behaviors, releasing conditioned patterns, learning, and living what it means to say I Love Me and getting those things you deserve and will serve you in life, love, work/career, and at home.

Can I have therapy and coaching simultaneously?

Yes, you can have both.

The other part of the answer to this question is, depending on the details of your story (thoughts, feelings, experiences), if there is recent trauma, or if there is a certain level of dysfunction and distress in your life then, yes, you may first need therapy.

I am eager to help you but if that is redirecting you to a therapist then I will do so. I want you to become clear and confident whether its with me or someone else. I would love to keep you but its okay to have sessions with your therapist for a bit, do some work in therapy, and then come back to see me.

Secondly, depending on where you are in your therapy, working with me can be greater impact to you manifesting a story and self love you desire. I can help you decide which package or option would be best. Contact me on this page! :-)

What do we discuss?

We can discuss many topics as long as you are willing. I will be there to guide you and be of emotional support.

Some things to remember…

If you are hesitate about sensitive topics, no worries (1.) there is a such thing as gentle confrontation, (2.) coaching is not to intentionally make you feel uncomfortable, (3.)  you will not be pushed to confront anything you are not ready for but (4.) coaching is honest and truth telling and sometimes we must feel discomfort to find a new comfort.

Too, its not always about the hard stuff. You will have soft moments. Every word and sentence spoken during session does not have to be intense. Your experience is intended to be of smiles, laughter, and calmness as well.

What stories have women shared with you and you were a helpful tool to them finding resolve?

I have worked with women who have shared stories of imbalance in life, challenges with self esteem, self-development,relationships (intimate, parent-child, family/friends), gender identity, various traumas, family turmoil, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, parenting, teenage issues, and emotional eating.

I am comfortable in working with ethnic/cultural backgrounds other than my own.

Are our sessions confidential?

Our sessions are absolutely confidential and I highly consider ethics when providing coaching.

Will sessions always take place weekly?

Unless it is agreed between you and I that it will be more effective to meet in two weeks then yes we will meet weekly.

Deciding two weeks can depend on the goal at the time of the ending session. It is possible to need more than one week for you to absorb a session. Therefore, if two weeks is decided until our next meeting, this will be worked out with the package you signed up for. I want to ensure you receive all sessions as indicated in the package you selected.

Will my sessions be longer than 60 or 75 minutes?

Sessions can be longer than the duration given. It can feel uncomfortable to be in the middle of a sensitive topic and then the session ends.

The last 15 minutes, I will ask you about today’s session and how you are feeling. If it is said or obvious you are not in a good place and that you could not cope on your own after session, then you will have more time with me.

Where do we meet?

Sessions are held with a video call. If preferred, sessions can be held with no video. I will send you a link to access the call. To access the link an account is not necessary.

Because you do not have to be tied to a desktop and you can access the link using an app on your cellular phone, be certain you are accessing the link safely (not driving) and you have made arrangements to be in a place where you will not be interrupted or have distraction.

Do I have to be on video?

I would like to see your lovely face but I get it! Being on camera may not be for you. To meet goals and to have an encouraging relationship can happen without video. We can also discuss options of your package being of telephone/email coaching.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes. There is a percentage of payment required before the first session. After a certain number of sessions the last payment will be required. Full payment of package is expected before your last two weeks of sessions.

Installments are not given for the narrator option.
